Those ripple happen sometimes when you don't squeeze enough of the water out, you need to find a good way to press as much of the water out and add more pressure until it's finished.. A good way to do this is by stacking weights on it. I'm talking roughly 100 pounds worth, but if you have an actually press it's even better.

another problem might be that the paper was not shredded enough. I usually tear mine into very fine pieces and let it break down even more in the water. I like the texture of it though, it gives it an extra amount of character.

but if you want to make flatter paper, Get a fine silk screen, shred your paper well. let as much water drain. Pill it and place it in a press. The one I used to use was around 500 lbs of pressure.

Sort of on topic.... is using a flat iron (you know, the kind used for clothes) considered cheating? I had a buddy whose mom had one of those big presses for pants. It worked like a charm.

Personally, I like the extra texture. Very original.

Default i kills for a fee give your crunchy treats to me i fart in my sleep and got lice on m

sweetz. so you just mush it up after soaking for long while? i use a blender i bought from thrift store just for this and blend the paper as best i can after soaked over night.

then i lift in on a screen like those from medium fine fiberglass screen doors. then i lift them onto felt sheet to dry.

so you are saying i can use a clothes iron to dry and flatten it? cools. i need to fix my screen though. it's all looose lose.

thanks for helping me out guys and dropping by.

Default creature the teacher of horrid stiff features.

did this in black and white ink then scanned it and toyed around in PS. it always feels so cheap to add stuff onto scanned-in traditional media.

Lovin' the style! The last one was awesome. I think it woulda worked better if you gave it a shadow in the fuzzy paint, but I love the detail underneath.

Keep it up!!

I really appreciate the freshness of your stuff man. You really don't know what to expect visiting your sketchbook. Nothing feels heavily inspired or ripped off. And you've certainly got a quirk or two in your style.

Also you're style seems really eclectic. You've got some stuff that has the qualities of ancient Cave Art. And some stuff that has a retro-futuristic feel to it.

Btw, your rhymes are something from another planet homes.

My favorite is this one:
Spoiler:

because of the darkness of the image, cuz' its original, as Billov said, you seem to be eclectic (as Billov said, again), i like the randomness of your stuff, and the fact that you use different mediums to work with, how u use color (good hues/saturations/contrasts), and cuz of more basic stuff (knowledge of anatomy, proportions, therefore your deformations in your characters are well done)... that's basically it.

And thanks about the egg avatar, I just updated it as I saw your egg drawing XD

Default dump? nah not really.

some old and new. thanks for strolling by. and if anyone needs a drawing, i happen to need monies. or if someone you know kneads one.(needs?)

pray to god you don't get doused! humiliation...

revisited this a little.

just redid this messing around with water color.

My little sister Cassandra made the little boy on the bottom right and i just pasted a friend to his left. Mr. creature likes popsicles occasionally, but today he is in the mood for children blood.

This one is total ref'd for practice. just added the craps around it.

i can't sleep tonight...
