Hey, I'm finally getting one of these. Now for the art-unrelated blabber of the day. Metal Gear Solid is awesome but the glitchy one I have stops me from beating the game--at wal-mart they had halloween and christmas decorations up at the same time wtf so theres this animatronic zombie and two aisles later an animatronic santa and probably they have the same mechanical 9 volt battery of a soul as well as the same purpose to make your children beg the cash from your pockets--phew, that was a big one. Now for the actual crap, crits please.

![]() 3rd pic: careful with the trousers, they don t reflect the volum very well... I think curving the lines a bit would help this... last pic: legs are too small I think... anyway, do keep it up !! ![]()

Thank you!
here's some more crap for everyone to share. My scanner is way too small so I had to photomerge most of the big pictures, I think it does something weird to the quality. ![]() ![]() This second one...let me explain...I was trying to personificate my novel...I thought it would make it easier to write. The idea is he's made of ink, all his accessories are references to the theme and plot, and his jacket is notebook paper...scrawled with what pisses me off about my writing. My signatures in there somewhere. I'm weird... BTW gamecube is officially tougher than PS2 or xbox: http://youtube.com/watch?v=y46f76Bpneo Last edited by gold_tangerine : 11-16-2006 at 01:57 PM. |

hey theres some great stuff here. Fair enough a couple parts of some drawings need refining, but theres makings for some decent and good art. Certainly you're drawing far more complex poses that i don't dare bother yet. Keep it up.
And no, i'm not saying nice things because you complemented one pic. Keep practicing!!!

If I didn't break the scanner when it fell off the table. (I was leaning on it watching my brother play Command and Conquer. It was stupid. The glass didn't break but who knows?) |

Women's future fashions coming soon. I just need a good reference...where are LL Bean catalogs when you need them?
![]() ![]() This next was a memory sketch. It's not good, but I think memory sketching is a good exercise anyway. In case you're, you know, stuck in prison and have no references to draw from someday. ![]() |

thanks. some from my frozen-for-the-moment sketch ex with mofo09:
![]() ![]() and now some Detective Hero char designs: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cops are awesome in stories. My saying goes thusly; if you're having a hard time with that novel, have someone get arrested. Preferably the wife, because the butler is too suspicious to be guilty. |

Woow. I almost forgot about this book. I went to an art workshop this summer, and it really changed my life. What was a great drawing before is just an OK one for me now.

Definately to the comment above. I'm especially digging the upper body on that one. The linework is nice, the shading looks good and the folds are dead sexy. I'm digging the flow on that one. But yes. More!

thanks guys. Life drawings are hard outside of a class though...
![]() God help me; I love fire escapes. ![]() ![]() ![]() This last one requires some explaining. Coke makes an apple-flavored soda here called Manzana Lift, and Pepsi counters it with Manzanita Sol. Sol actually tastes better--got that limey, tangy something to it--but I like the Lift's logo better. |

Great job with this more realistic stuff, some really good looking shading, folds, etc. It's interesting to see your two very different styles developing like this and sometimes mixing. And yeah, i've always been intrigued by those fire escapes to, mainly because we don't have those over here. And i just wonder if in the minds of architects in this country, the aesthetics of the facades they design are somehow more important than increasing our chances to survive a fire. I don't know, i really hope there's some other explanation to why we don't have those.
