![]() ![]() response ^ challenge v ![]() im loving imgur as a hosting site, btw. it is so much easier than photobucket :P anyways, the challenge isnt so much "draw a baseball player" but more along the lines of "apply a technique learned from loomis to keep the figure balanced" i have been going through his figure drawing for all its worth, just doing the practices, and it is really helping me lay out the figure in balance and proportion.... I do need to work on feet/shoes though, gawd |

![]() ![]() Response ^ Challenge v ![]() zero pressure on these due to a driver problem that has since been resolved. I think I'd like to practice objects, if that makes any sense. I need to get better at making a drawing look like it exists rather than having it look like it is a reference to something. I guess that has something to do with shading, but I can't really explain it - hence why it needs more work. If you want we can paint a bunch of feet/shoes or something to do both goals.

![]() So I know I messed up somewhere, but I can't place it. I tried drawing you a horse a bunch of times, so here's the best:
![]() And your challenge is to do something pencil-y but use the eraser way more than you normally would. ![]()

![]() I like your response image. I think the erasing helped add a nice uniform tone to parts of it. Nice job with the nose and cheekbones. I often forget to but in the shading for those.
Ugggh. More hard studies, huh? ![]() It was the first week of grad classes (ComSci), and I had to run around to figure out where all the buildings are, so sorry if I'm running a little late. Response: ![]() Challenge: ![]() Bonus points for working on "rendering techniques." (Shadows & textures)

![]() Just kidding. Your image is on a different computer. But... I'll post it when I get back from vacation since I've already drawn it. I'm just posting so you know I haven't forgotten about you, Threes, I had just been overwhelmingly too busy with projects, exams, and finals. Any preference with the challenge art since I haven't done that yet?
Wow! That beetle is amazing - how did you draw it?
