![]() Post links for custom brushes here, be it Photoshop or Painter. Hell, you can even post your OWN custom-brushes if you have some to share! (try hosting here if you need space)
So why custom brushes? Photoshop's standard brushes will take you far and they are very good, but there are tonnes of brushes out there that might simplify or speed up your workprocess. For example: fur. Its a tedious job to paint by using the single dot. A simple combination of 5 rowed dots and the right brush-settings (angle jitter) speed up the whole process and might even make the end-result look better. For your viewing pleasure, I will keep editing this post with new links. But don't get mad whenever I dont update! Anyway, to start with: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- <updated 09.04.2006> Photoshop brushes: - Barontiere @ barontieri.com - Brushes searchengine (also appliable for more than Photoshop) - DeviantArt PS brushes - RobLG DEAD, updated portfolio. - Veredgf.fredfarm.com - i.net grafx (under goodies) Painter brushes: - DeviantArt PainterIX resources

![]() Well, if you are using PS 7.0 you might aswell upgrade your version. Almost everything these days is made for CS.

![]() In case anyone cares I installed CS and installed RobG's brushes...work like a charm. But I hate how you cant change the "undo" mode in CS...Im so used to using CTRL+Z for undo and CTRL+Y for redo...gonna have to work around that now =/. Rob's brushes seem awesome tho.

![]() NO 5te! No one is supposed to know about those brushes! Do you know what you have done? You've unleashed a wave off custom brush abuse for hundredes of generations.

![]() I like custom brushes. I wouldn't recommend them to people just getting started in PS, just because like anything they can be abused and quite overused. However, just because you use custom brushes doesn't mean you don't have skill.

![]() Since I'm rarely happy with anything I do and pretty much never post pics I can't be accused of abusing anything... except the freedom of game playing at work ;D
Anyone care to share the RobG brushes though?
