Wow, it's been over a year since the last thing I posted in here... A year and what feels like a lifetime of personal experience and turmoil. It's only recently I've been able to even *think* about drawing...

Anyways, I did this as a cheap birthday present for a friend, considering I'm flat broke these days.

My friend's name is Jill... obviously. This took me I'd say about an hour and a half from start to finish. Used a reference. This is her favorite animal, so I figured I'd go that route.

It's not much, but I'm pretty happy with the results given the lag time between this and the last time I drew anything.

Did this as a request to make me keep trying to make new things. I have no idea how good this is anymore because I've been staring at it for the better part of two hours. I don't feel like this looks like two hours of work, but whatever...

Just something to bump the thread I guess.

Real fuzzy I notice now that its out there....

*EDIT* Yeah its definitely fuzzier than the lioness because of lack of contrasting values. Everything is more or less in the same color range. No real darks or lights. Darn.

Quick Turkey I did and recorded drawing for readers and friends of my blog. I was feeling especially fond and thankful this year so I felt like whipping something up. And here it is:

Opencanvas, took about 45 minutes or so start to finish. Here's the Youtube video of it: Click!

I personally think the video is more interesting than the final image, but you be the judge oh noble viewer!

Well it's been about a year again. I did this last night. It's posted in the speed paint thread, but it's anything but a speed paint. Took me about six hours straight and it nearly killed me. But hey, I was happy enough that I figured it was worth resurrecting my sketchbook thread from probable deletion.

I know the hands are jacked, but in my defense I'm terrible with hands AND they are the thing I worked the least on. Not a free pass but it's my story. I am halfway tempted to go back and tinker with this at some point. We'll see.

I kind of want to try and throw something in here every now and again. I'm nowhere near as productive with art as I used to be (and I wasn't really back then either), but I still really value it.

Anyways, here's my Christmas card for this year. Every year I make one, and every year I send it out late. So yeah... here it is.
