Default Muzzbook

The drawings at the beginning of this thread are no indication of my skill level, i am updating this thread from when i started drawing, as an archive of my drawing history.

Go to the end of the thread for my new drawings.

guess i better make my own sketch book.
this i did i think two years ago, but i still think its a kool design.

a robot mech thing i did about a month ago, i really don't like his left arm though
a girl that i drew in a scene that i didnt like, she was leaning against a wall
a plane that i drew after i finished my work in english, it was based on the american fighter in pearl harbour
i really like the style of this car but i didnt have a rubber during the planning so i couldnt get the planning right.
this was meant to be a suv but it's only got two doors .
just a chick i drew a couple of days ago can't work out what is wrong with her though.
playing with camera angles
playing with foreshortening and exageration
a crappy scan of a chick i drew, the pose is off reference.

Hey cool pictures ^_^ You asked what was wrong with that girl? Remember head to body proportions, and that the hair sits on top of the skull.

Your vehicles are very good, and the 1st pic in post 2 is funny, I really like those silouettes (sp?). As for your human characters, keep practicing how to draw the eyes and nose! There are plenty of good tutorials around the web for that!

The experimental angle/pose/body shape sketches you did are pretty cool in particular; always nice to see an adventurous spirit in art.

thanks for your posts, pheonix thanks for the advice, broody i really didnt spend much toime on the eyes in those experimental pics so i draw them better than that ussually, but noses i do have a hard time on them if its a portrait like in the examples so ive got to practice on them (also what does (sp?) mean). and shadowstarre im juts trying to improve my camera angle skills so thanks.

time to bring this sketch book from the brinks of hell, the 4th page already!!

BIG UPDATE

done a fair bit of work on vehicles lately
This is a walker concept i got inspired to do after reading defacto's robot tutorial. i dont like the design of this much myself.
A bike i did after watching the classic anime "AKIRA" (Wich is awsome so see it if you can) Kanedas bike is wicked.
Just your average jet bike design, first time using coloured pencils, and probably the last. I just dont like the medium.
A character that i did in art class at school, this is for my body of work. I kinda like this character but in this pic he has no emotion and his pose is sooooo sucky.
My first atempt at using acrylic for an anime pic, i think it came out fairly good and will try again. The actual line art is of the same character as above, and has had his pose drawn from reference.

Default 3/5/06

another update as small as it is.
[
i know i posted this in finished art but i also wanted to put it here. this is my first pic done with markers.
[/]
a skeleton thing i did in detention one day, the major prob with drawing in detention is that tere are no reference and the only paper available is lined paper.
i retarded his pointing had cause i ran out of paper.
i converted this to vector to clean this up also.

and yes here is my hideously small update.
this was just an experiment with rovers, trying to use the metal slug tank as a base[

just trying out different head designs[
this is an alien hut[
this was some sketches of aliens that i like but didnt use[
thanks guys for the compliments, i do spend more time on mechanical stuff so you have to expect it to be better but i really have to spend more time on my characters,

and i hate doing static poses, it just takes 50 tries before i get a pose i like .

and heres somthing for the speed paint thread but i took 50 min.

That last one looks so clean. It would look great with a blue sky behind it. You should ink and color more of them. Do it, do it, do it!

And do more speedpainting, dammit!
