Default Kweckduck's little pond - 56k modem warning!!

For the sake of being able to see my own progress I decided to actually put all my drawings in a sketchbook and just put all the good, the bad and the evil in one basket.

Crit away if you feel like it.

Cool stuff kweckduck. The trees in predblue look all leathery to me. No crits from me. Most things I see wrong in some peices, you've improved on in later ones.

I can really see the improvements along the way. What kind of time frame is there between the earlier and later ones?

Wow... I'm thinking either you added some or they didn't load last time! Also.. is that Dr. Robotnic in the first one??

Even though it's severely creepy, I like the Abbegail(sp?) one where she's like... eating the dude. Something about the cleanliness is really cool (and creepy)

koopdi: Thanks, yeah it's prety good to be able to see the progress. Gives one hope that there is a chance sometime in the future that I'll be able to produce something professional looking. I won't hold my breath though.

srilyk: Thanks.

jeco: I'm not too sure. I think I did the first one about 2 years ago and the last one last week. So about 2 years I suppose. But in that timeframe I have gone months without even doodling anything or even really studying something. Got an idea at a certain point and started working on it. And normally quite a lot of time goes into a piece. I found the more time I put in the better it becomes. Now Im trying to reduce the time. But I think it's still better if I put in the time. I learn so much by doing when I take the time and wonder why something works or doesn't work.

I'm currently studying perspective, hence the latter ones being buildings and such. I always figured it to be easy and straight forward, but heck it's hard. I really don't have the patience for it. Anyway you'll be seeing some of my perspective-workouts coming up.

Like I said, a perspective piece. I kinda rushed it since I was getting tired of working on it and figured I need to get faster at this perspective stuff.

I recently had to switch jobs since my contract wasn't prolonged, so now I do a pretty boring job of calling people all day long and trying to arrange topics for events and trying to get people to come.

To make it more interesting, I sketch while on hold, from references I find online, busts in this case:

I'm on hold a lot.

Wow some great stuff in here. Funny to see your older work as well, it shows how much you've improved.
With the busts, try to draw a line for the center, or just even imagine one. Because with some busts your noses are oddly proportioned in comparison to the eyes.

Some more sketches. I decided to follow Erq's example and do 100 perspective sketches. So far I'm at 4 then.

Good luck me, I'll need it.

The panda-bot is great.

In the Marleen-portrait, I think the inked outline does not fit in the picture. Makes it look like you copypasted the portrait into a different background.

I agree, that black stroke does no good. Also the bacgroud could use some more definition.

I love the bear bot.
