Color Art I am the Night

I am getting into pure digi-painting lately, i am using mouse so it is kinda hard, i would like some general comments or pointers maybe about the brushes, etc. Cheers

Are you using some kind of charcoal brush? If you're getting started with digital painting, it's probably best to stick with basic brushes. It'll help the learning process as you can see exactly what you're doing as opposed to texture brushes which may create some cool effects but distract you from the real issues.

Anyways, the thing that stood out the most to me was that you used a very soft contrast for most of the piece, but part where the cowl meets the skin especially harsh. It makes that area look like a paper cutout.

yes, i can see that now, it was really hard on that part because it is so different and it is much brighter than the rest of the piece, thanks for the comment
