Game Dev chat/communities?

Anyone know of any good game dev chat/communities?
I'm mostly looking for unimportant chitchat and light conversation. I've been hammering away at learning C++ for some solo game dev stuff I want to do with Unreal. I've got some GameMaker Studio under my belt and I've gotten pretty comfortable with pixel art, but I want to move to 3D stuff.
Learning is lonely haha, anyone know any good hangouts?
Once I get to the art I'll be posting here, don't you folk worry ;P

I'm actually looking for the same thing. I know about Gamedev.net, but I don't really use the forums as much as I use the articles. Reddit and stackexchange have sites too, but those are more for Q&A. 4chan also has a fairly sizeable amatuer game development community, if you don't mind the sort of people that browse and post there.

So I tried posting a link earlier but maybe because I'm new it got modded. Anyway. Do a search for slack group chat indie game developers. there's a good community there.
