Default some older/only tablet speed attempts

the very first thing I drew when I got my Wacom a few years ago

a cartoon of my wife

just screwing around. I still havent really mastered painting with this thing, I usually just use it to get basic shapes and then print and redo with pencil and then pen. For some reason my brushes dont work right.

Damn Dfacto, that's a nice concept there. Is that a custom brush? Or just lots of brush work? The mask is ACES!

Trying to keep at the whole speed thing. This was about an hour and a half. I'm drawing my brother's Metal Gear Online character for him. I think I'll keep going, but I wanted to go quick and try something new.

Oh and I hate hands in all kinds. Definately something that'll be touched up.

Default Cockpit Scene

Following the Corel Painter Magazine tutorial by http://zhuzhu.deviantart.com/. Except the tutorial was for a couple dancing, and I was more in the mood for sci-fi.

The point was to create a simple, energetic scene with a lot of movement.

Ok, so I've never used brushes before ever. In fact I still am pretty clueless as to how to use them effectively... Anyways, I downloaded some and fired up Photoshop (which I rarely ever use... don't know why) and went to town. This is a fairly plain image, but I was messing around so I kept it loose and obvious. Who knows? Maybe with some more practive I may be able to use brushes effectively.

I also shot the sharpness of this image WAY up to make it seem more stark against the white BG.

It has honestly been months since I have done any art whatsoever. Think it was in November I last did something.

It shows ):

(Hopefully it isnt too big. Looks tiny on my massive new monitor)

EDIT: Ah well, since I was the last one to make a post, ill chuck in another poo speedpaint. Started from reference, went downhill from there.

You've become lazy Flashez. But you're actually not that rusty ;o I like the lighting here.

Ah right, I should have pointed out it was a really quick doodle from a reference picture of Thom Yorke. So no, not my lighting at all

I agree with the lazy part, and disagree with the rusty part. I'm rusty as hell. Brushstrokes suck, colours suck, imagination has gone poo's and pretty much everything else has stepped down a lot. But thats ok, working back up again.

The trees are obviously copypasta, the objective was the sky (was going for the view out my office window at about 4pm)
