Nice stuff there, erg! Have you considered recording yourself?

I've stayed up a little later than I usually do, just because inspiration struck at exactly 2:30 am. I know, teh fuzz... it's forbidden... but I feel I am being pulled back to my roots. I like his bike, though. It's shiney.

Awesome work Makkon and everyone else. I like erqs stuff too How long did that take you Makkon? I start speedpaints but it doesn't take good form so I usually scrap them.

Oh... and I find I draw better at early morning/late night too! Weird, isn't it? Maybe the brain functions differently at those times.

Advent Children ftw.

First speedpaint. I tried doing the woman I'm working on in the w.i.p. section. I like her better without a face. I should have done more fine tuning as I'm not too satisfied with my work compared to the other peoples in this thread :/. Oh well, practise makes perfect.

McGarnacle: Oh, it took me longer than usual. 2 hours, which is more time than I really wanted to spend on it.
Btw, nice concept, though I think you may have overdone it. The outfit clashes with itself. Your earlier version was much better, IMO. Good stuff, though

Ninken: Oh man, that's awsome! I totally forgot the dust cloud, and those dunes look freaking wicked! I wasn't expecting a fanart... I'm flattered. I want to expand on the idea, I think I'll go paint some more.

Double post; New one!

EDIT: Also, I updated the rider. Added a dust trail, fixed his leg, and made the bike darker (whick may or may not have been a bad decision).

Oh, Now I see! First I really thought he was stop with the footh on the ground but the shadow was problematic now it's fine.
Though I wouldn't have made the bike so dark.

Wonderful!

Yeah, it's good those things were pointed out, I would not have noticed myself. It looks a lot better. I agree, perhaps I shouldn't have made the bike so dark, but it sure seemed like a good idea at the time. :(
I want to paint more of the character. It's got real potential.

Woah, Makkon, that belongs in the awesome section! =] Lovin those reflections, and I think you made a good choice by darkening the reflection. I dunno if it should be so saturated blue though. But overall nice lighting!
Ninken, lookin good also =].

Some evening work, can anyone guess who is the influence?

so lost with the skintones, as you can tell =P

Thanks, erg! I like the patterns on yours. It has a real cultural festivas feeling to it, though it does look a little flat in those areas.

Anyway, I did another one. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I have a real obsession with desert landscapes. It's like... something I love. Must be because I live in Utah. :P

great atmospheric perspective on that last one, makkon! I was goin for that Gustav Klimt feel, he purposely flattens everything thats not skin with a pattern.

Thanks guys =]

Some old stuff, decided to finish it

Not bad erg, but probably not your best work. The highlights are somewhat blotchy, and it is a little dark, but still good none the less, as the lighting makes sense.

I just finished this 15 minutes ago, took about 45 mins. I WAS going to have a character standing in the foreground, but then I realized that she made the picture staic and boring, so I scraped her and will probably paint her next... later.
So, the was the bg.

And here's some screwing around with overlays.

I've had a few people ask me what brush I use for my terrain.

I also rotate the brush to get the desired angle, such as for rocks (or perhaps mountains).

Stealth edit:
I don't really like the way this one turned out. I need to ref some frigging clouds! Heck, I need to ref period. :(
