KZ, he's a mod now ya know?
Looks like nice casual fun. Some of the tiles look pretty boring though. You have a nice chibi character set and some good floor tiles, but others looks like they're one step above x-com. Not sure you can fix that easily without playing around with it myself, but it's what popped out.

I don't really play games, nor do I own a psp, but I think it's pretty cool you've got such a job. If the game is a success is not that important, for you are not the primary initiator of the concept. What matters is that you put maximum effort into it.
I think the artwork is the best aspect of the trailer. |

.Dfacto: yeah i agree about the floor tiles for sure, if i were to do them again i would do a lot of it differently, as this was definatley the part that i had the most trouble with, esp as it was my first time doing it (could only afford about 2 days per tileset as well). I think it comes down to the colour choice mostly and how clean the details are, but if i ever work with tilesets again ill try and spice it up more .

Cool stuff! I'm working on a 2d game right now too and have just started tiling. :( Not as easy as it looks. Any general tips?
How long was the dev cycle (when did the game production start)? What were you in charge of designing? It warms my heart to see people working on games. ![]()

haha xion, i completly agree about a girl character, sadly the guys in charge of the project didnt share my enthusiasm over a girl character :(.
Wiggle, the game took about 2 and a half months of dev, so really not long at all, but that was working 40 hour weeks mind you. With tiling, tips ey? well this isnt really 2d game specific, but remember that you dont have time for retakes on small projects, never make anything with the intention of fixing it later, as chances are you will run out of time and wont be able to fix it. Also using a pencil tool with half opacity i found can help doing pixel perfect blending, without destroying your tiling. Also work out your tileset layout on the grid and stick to it.

The game looks pretty fun to me, muzz.
I just wish it wasn't on the PSP mini but instead as a downloadable title for all of the platforms.
