![]() Looks good but there is a few proportion problems . Her eyes are to close togeither . Should be one eye width between the eyes . The fin is tristed in perspective . Her hair is not very convensing .Does not look like hair to me . check some refferance . She would look better if you added scales to her lower half .

![]() It's a very pretty drawing- but the stiffness of the frontal pose totally ruins the aquatic effect... it's like a mermaid mugshot. Another problem that I sense is that her eyes and her nipples are too close together giving her a double crosseyed effect. Her breasts are rather large- but they are still behaving like an earth girl's shaped by gravity and a bra ... maybe you could heighten the aquatic effect if her fatty portions were as bouyed by the water as her hair is... about the hair- it's rendered more like urchin feelers than like hair...the snakes leave her scalp in one clump and that clump stays the same with the same heavy outline all the way to the tips without any stray strands breaking off or webbing over to other sections of the hair. I think a good reference picture of how hair loooks underwater would go really far to improve this- and if you want to give her fantasy hair, like seaweed or something... well then you have to work harder to make it look like something else. The foward hand is drawn very beautifully, the other hand seems stiff- like you are showing us the x and y axis of an object... how about giving us a twisted hand with a little bit of the palm or back showing and four fingers overlapping? It would be good practice- find a reference pic!
This pic is beautifully done (oh the lighting!) http://www.uaf.edu/english/faculty/r...elia/steck.jpg |

![]() well the only reason why we post warning nudity is for the kids. please think of the children lol. as far as the picture is concerned, breasts dont look realistic and the face needs to be redone. it looks like you were trying to go for a more realistic sense to your picture with the shading and all but you face looks cartoonish when compared to the rest of the body.

![]() I'd say it looks pretty nice. Overall it's a lot better than a drawing by just anyone off the street, but what gets me is the stiffness - She looks like she's been taxidermied or something. Ironically I think the focus on getting the proportions and anatomy right is keeping the drawing from coming alive. If you made another version where you toned-down the symmetry a little bit and gave her a more flowing, organic pose you'd have something pretty impressive.

well, it's a fictional drawing, so scales or no scales, it shouldn't matter that much |
