Backgrounds are all around you. Just pick a spot that's interesting to you, have a seat with a trusty ruler and start drawing what you see. You'll need to know perspective so be prepared!

I thought dunes or rocks covered by sand personally. I think the figure could be difficult to spot only because the colors of the ground and sky are so similar, but I'm guessing that was intentional?

Unfortunately, the anatomy issues weren't fixed in the wireframe stage, so they still persist even though your character is now clothed (which just makes the problems harder to fix).
